Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account details: Email address and hashed password when you sign up through Supabase Auth.
• Budget data: Bills, incomes, flexible spending categories, and notes you save inside the app. These entries are encrypted at rest in Supabase and scoped to your user ID.
• Device and analytics data: Basic telemetry such as browser version, device type, and anonymised performance metrics captured by Vercel Analytics to keep the product stable.
• Payments: When you subscribe via Apple, Google Play, or Stripe we only receive transaction metadata (plan name, renewal date, store) from the respective platform—not card details.

How we use your data

• Authenticate you and keep your budgets synced across devices.
• Provide customer support and investigate bugs.
• Verify subscription status and enforce access limits.
• Improve app performance using aggregate analytics.

Who processes your data

We rely on Supabase (authentication, database, storage), Vercel (web hosting), and the Apple App Store / Google Play Store / Stripe (billing). These partners process information strictly to provide their services. We never sell personal information or share budgets with advertisers.

Retention and deletion

You can reset or delete your budget data from the in-app settings at any time. To remove your entire account (including Supabase records), visit the account deletion request page or email support@budget-expert.net from the address associated with your account and we will complete the deletion within 7 days unless legal obligations require us to keep it longer.

Security

Budget Expert enforces HTTPS, database row-level security, and least-privilege access for support staff. No method is 100% secure, so please use a strong password and keep your devices updated.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 16. If you believe we collected information from a minor, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
